I took this photo while I was at final friday. this picture was taken at the Tangent Lab after I went at looked at a gallery. I liked this one over the other pictures I took that night because of the lighting with the rails. I thought it was a good picture for the pattern category because of the shadows as well as stairs winding down and kinda repeating.
I took this picture of my name done in legos. I thought that this photo had several examples of texture, color, and shape. All the letters are done in different colors. They all have different types of textures; jagged, smooth, and curvy. The background is very bright, but the letters also stand out as well.

TIme Flies
I don't really have a picture to illustrate this one. I was sitting in Spanish class and I looked up at the clock to see the time (cause I wanted class to be over), and the clock was going really fast, literally. It looked like a time lapse or something. It was just ironic to see it visually.

Test from my phone
This is just a test to see if I set this thing up correctly on my
phone. I thought the pic was interesting. It's a reflection of what is
behind me on my ring on my finger. I was really bored when I took it

I have always thought that natural disasters although bad, are sometimes beautiful. The sheer power that can be unleashed by a stray cigarette is mind blowing. My friends for the last three years has been a hot shot fire fighter and jumps in to these infernos on a regular basis. The power of nature is what i really think is pretty neat in this picture.
Backwoods Creek
I took this picture a couple summers ago down in eastern Oklahoma. I was floating down a creek with a couple of friends and couldn't believe how beautiful the scenery is. If you look real close at the top of the water you can see the pitter patter of small rain drops as it began to sprinkle that late morning. I also like the bluffs and the vegetation that grows in and around them. We now take this float trip every May when school gets out, I think you can see why.
Sunrise
I took this picture on my phone one morning on my way to a basketball tournament. I thought it was really beautiful the way the sun looked like it was in all different levels. the way it peeped through all the different levels of the clouds. the scenery around it made it seem as is it was in a movie or a drawn picture to me just because its hard to capture something so beautiful.

Aesthetics Pic #2
I felt that this fell into the chaos theme. This was taken a couple years ago at WSU for a photography assignment I was doing. Going back on this, I like the whole erratic behavior of the leaves along the vines on the wall. It really reminds me of people crowding in the streets, like in places like New York City or Tokyo, Japan.

Falling Up
2 for fun
Im uploading two just for fun. This whole observation thing comes natural to me, I always find my boyfriend saying stuff like "how could you even see that", or " i would have never even noticed it "
The squirrel was so cute just sitting all fat like on the bench, most people just walk past them but i stopped in and got close to take a picture of his natural beauty, he didnt even seem to mind.
The second one is the other day driving to school, I noticed the cloud and how it was shaped exactly like a bra. the cool thing about it was I grabbed my camera as fast as i could to take it and the sunlight made huge glares along my lens. I really liked how it turned out and I really liked the bra shaped cloud :)
This is a picture i took on the way to Hays, KS. I like it because of the color of the sky and the formation and shape of the clouds. Also another neat thing is the wind turbines in the background. There aren't that many here in this picture, but further on down the road there are tones of them, and it is almost mesmerizing to look at all the wind turbines.

This is a picture of my Grandmothers old garage. Old in two ways, it is naturally old and also she moved this weekend. I was helping my grandmother move and actually thinking of this project when I saw the side of her garage. At first I took a picture on my phone of it, but then I discovered later that I don't know how to get pictures off my phone and so I went back with my camera. As you can see the window on the side of the garage had been busted and not only that but that the wood siding has been broken and worn thin. I thought this would fit perfectly into the debris category even though the garage is still standing it has taken a beating over time. one thing I like about this picture is that its broken state is what makes it interesting because to me the side of a new white garage really is not that intriguing where as this is.

This was one of my final pieces for my photography final last semester. I wanted to take ten photos of something on a Macro setting, but there are only a few things that you can take ten shots of and they all look completely different. This was the best shot of all of them. It's part of the engine of a Big Dog Motorcycle. I never would have thought that I would ever call a Motorcylce art but I think this proves it.
The photo is reflective, and there's a star shape with the shine from the chrome. You can connect with the art of the American Flag. And to me it is one of those photos that I can stare at forever.

I took this photo last semester, and I love it. This painting is located in the photography studio I work at downtown. My boss uses it as a background sometimes. It's something that you can't pass without looking at it for awhile.
At first it looks chaotic and I couldn't understand it, but the pattern is amazing. As a painting I can't even to begin to imagine how hard it was to create something so complex.
wood grain
this was taken at a car show I attended this weekend and this really stood out to me. the bottom of the bed of the truck is made out of wood and it has the flame pattern in it. but that is not what stood out the most to me. although this photograph does not suppot it too well, what I noticed was the grain of the different kinds of wood. in each of the different woods, the grain was unique and they all had their own color. there was beauty in the natural aspect of the wood and it was pretty awesome being combined with the metal of the truck.

I was watching football downstairs in our basement and saw this candle burning. It caught my eye because there was a draft coming from somewhere that was making the flame flicker. So I snapped this to get a glimpse of the flame as it flickered. I like how at the bottom of the flame there is a sharp line that divides the flame and candle, but at the top of the flame it is fading in with the candle.
I saw this image at a restaurant I went to. I thought this picture very interesting and had many different parts to it. All the splotches are one color and are all different in their own way. This image just looks thrown together and like nothing mattered at all. It really just look like splattered paint all over.

Sister First Baby Room
This is my sister Emily's first baby room, and i really just like what she picked to use in this. ther are a lot of different elements, plads, different matching colors, and animals. All of these I think will make a great room for my funture nethew to start his life in. It is a very comfortable room to be in.

snowfall
I took this picture in front of Davis yesterday. I'll admit I was really just looking for an excuse to go outsite because it was so nice out, but as I walking around I noticed this flower. It was the last bloom left on the bush and still stubbornly trying to hold onto its color. Most people would probably pass it by without much thought, but I thought it was beautiful still. I liked how aside from the sky, the only real color in the photograph was coming from this dead thing.

This is a picture I took last semester when it had rained all night and had flooded many streets in Wichita. I remember waking up and finding that my backyard looked like a swimming pool and that the entrance to my neighborhood looked like a moat.
This picture was actually taken later in the day as I was walking around my neighborhood lake and found that the path disappeared into the lake.
I thought this picture/experience was "note worthy" as well as interesting not just because it is odd to see a sidewalk going into a lake but because of the experience of seeing people getting stuck in the streets and seeing the negative side of the weather and then coming home and finding the beautiful side of it. Which I think is how most things in nature are, where they have a tragic side but then a beautiful side.

Aesthetic Pic #1
This picture was taken in my house. As it can be seen, it is a picture of a lone panda. This referenced me to more of a nature theme. I placed this picture here because it reminded me of the fact that panda bears are endangered and seeing the lone panda sitting around by itself reminded me of the dwindling numbers of its kind, a message to how we should be more kinding and considerate of the animals in this world.
