I took this picture this weekend on my way to Pratt. I stopped at the reststop between Pratt and Cunningham where this summer a couple was killed when a tornado ripped through and threw their car 300 ft. out into a neighboring field. These are whats left of the trees at the reststop. It blows my mind everytime I drive by here, just the natural force of tornados.

wow that is really sad that the couple died through the tornado. These trees kinda shows the deadly side of weather. They also kinda show the chaos of what happened through what is left.
ReplyDeleteWell, this covers more of what I took (although I didn't take a picture of tornado damage in general). Everytime you see this kind of destruction, it really reminds me how nature could wipe us out any minute if it wanted.
ReplyDeleteKnowing what happened there makes it impossible to look at that picture and not feel sad. It's such a shame and that's something that could happen to anybody.. In the picture, the place still looks so devastated, like it didn't happen that long ago at all.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really powerful photo-both formally and conceptually. nice observation.
