Monthly Museum #1

I took this at City Arts today. The artist is unknown, as it was hanging up on a wall next to other shovel projects. I feel that it acknowledges the rules of 2, 5, and 6.
2. As it can be seen, the artist made a snake shaped handle and attached a shovel spade into the finished handle, thus creating a new version of a shovel.
5. This artist wanted to show that ordinary objects don't have to be just ordinary objects. You can put in ideas, thought, and process to turn it into something new.
6. As said above, this piece of work shows that objects that a person would find boring and dull to look at, does not always have to be that way. This artist took something normal and crafted something more colorful, vigorous, and flamboyant to catch the eye.
