These are the two Images that I liked at the Wichita Art Museum. The first one is called East River NO. 1, and it was created by Georgia O'keeffe. I really like this picture, due to the simple fact that it depicts the industrial revolution! the black and white, give you a sense that this image was taken a lot time ago. The Smog rolling over the city on the other side of the river lets you know that at this time in American history, a green footprint wasn't really important. You can really tell the class difference from the east side to the west side of the river. rich and poor.
The second painting is from Chuck Forsman It is called Ants for some reason unknow to me... I kind of think it is called Ants, because from this view the city is way off on the other side of the dam. The small city may be the Ant farm... This picture really reminds me of going to the lake in Missouri with all the clear lakes and huge dams. I think everyone has seem something similar to this in their lives. All the power that the dam bypasses from the river is amazing.
