Artists nurture their ability to find interest or beauty in the mundane, the ordinary and the natural world. Through practice, they accentuate this focus, typically as a driving force in their work. From Observation is a community blog project that engages its participants, students and the community at large to take part in this exercise by finding beauty and interest in their everyday lives.
I really like this, the very earthy colors flowing across the picture reminds me of the style JP had, he always seemed to use colors that were less bright it seemed like when he got into painting on the floor. I also like how the rug has different thickness in the stings. that also seems to be something Pollock would do.
ReplyDeleteLove this photo! I love the Macro setting and the detail in the carpet. Good job yet again Olivia =)
ReplyDeleteI can totally see this being turned into a Pollock painting or something that inspired him.
