I took this picture in Oklahoma on a side road, above is the actual highway, but i couldn't help but think, this has to be the most graffiti i have ever seen. There is layer after layer of this like it gets updated every summer by some kids passing through commerating every time they come under the bridge.

Glowing Cross
The other day I was just taking some pictures, and I really liked how this one came out. I couldn't figure out how to turn it on it's side, but it reminded me as a cross. I really like how the flash made my dresser glow, and give the image the depth and glow that it has! I thought it came out pretty powerful. It really reminded me of the huge cross at the Church on south Broadway.

the first is a picture of a reflection I found at the guitar center, I thought is was unique and not really noticeable to just anyone, you had to look closely and the design and that is where you'd find the other guitars.
This one is something that i find most everyone doesnt notice and take in awe of... the sunset. its most beautiful here in kansas where you can see the horizon,No one really stops to watch the awesome experience that happens evryday.
This next is just nature in pattern, on the side of my boyfriends' car he had perfect little icicles all in a row. and if you looked hard enough they were all over, under cars on the roofs, everywhere.
this also was a patch of ice on the car that had a delicate pattern melted throughout, it reminded me of a suriname toad, kind of nature mimicking nature :)

Blog 10 I think??
I just love this pic because I think snow is so pretty. I also like
how the lines of dirt that weren't covered define the small road and
that it foes for a long way in the pic.

Roberta Austin Weekly Observation #10
I forgot to take my camera with me anywhere this week to take an observation pic, so I had to find something in my apartment to observe.. This picture is of a cantaloupe that I discovered in the back of my refrigerator. It didn't show up well in the picture, but there were a lot of really pretty, different shades of green, and of course there's lots of lines and interesting patterns.

So I took this picture on my trip to Tulsa this weekend. this is a picture of the city landscape as we drove past it on the highway. it was really neat looking with the rain pouring and the lights of the buildings breaking the blue sky. I thought this picture kinda caught the weather well and how the city with all its colors.

This is a pic I thought was really neat. I just like how the water
reflects a different image of the straw and it appears bigger

so I was trying to be creative- I put food coloring into glass bottle and took pictures of it. I remembered always thinking how cool it looked when I was a kid but I kind of wished my pictures could capture it better. to me it was always really neat to watch the color grow and expand in the water in interesting patterns. maybe next time I can get a better picture of it.
Roberta Austin Weekly Observations #8 & #9
Over spring break I was walking my dog (we live in the woods) and we happened across this cluster of fungi of some sort. The biggest one was about as big across as a basketball. The colors are what really grabbed me, but there's a lot of interesting lines and patterns going on in there, too.
This one is just looking down at a tree stump. It kind of reminded me of the drawing project we did where we had to keep drawing the same lines over and over again.
This picture was taken at my Uncles house in his garage, we were all sitting around and my uncles dog was in the middle of us laying on her back. She kind of looks like she was flying and I just thought she looked unusual.
After being in the car for a long time this Saturday I just started playing with the camera. I took a lot of really stupid pictures, but this one stood out to me. It is a distressed area on a pair of jeans I was wearing. I liked the lines that came out of this shot, and how the distressed area looked right up close.
earlier this break I was working on my house trying to get it ready to sell. Upstairs in my room someone had shot out my window. After flipping out for awhile, I looked out the window, and noticed how distorted the view had become. It may not look as cool as I think it is. But the whole view from the window is pretty sweet.

Observation for mar 15
This is for last Sunday. I was out of town for most of the week. I
took this pic earlier today of my cats observing the outside. I just
liked how they were all sitting the same and looking so intently
